Session Victim - The Haunted house Of House (Album Trailer)

As we getting closer to the release date of their debut full-length album “The Haunted House Of House”, we are becoming more and more victims of Session Victim, aka Berlin-Hamburg duo Hauke Freer and Matthias Reiling. The part two of Session Victimʼs album sampler is out now on vinyl and also contains their second single “Cow Palace”, a great tune that has been stuck on repeat in our car stereo. We are haunted!

Session Victim’s “The Haunted House Of House” drops on May 14th via Delusions of Grandeur. Preview the album here.

Jus’ Bros - The Truth (Xinobi Remix)

We are delighted to premiere Xinobi’s brand new remix of “The Truth” by Jus’ Bros. And it’s really fresh, it’s funky and groovy as hell. “The Truth” is a solid tune from Jus’ Bros, the brain child from Brazilian DJ Paulo Jardim, written with the help of long time friend and established producer and DJ Martin Dawson. It features sample vocals of Brazilian soul legend Tim Maia. We first heard this track on The Magician’s magic tape 10 last year, and now finally will be released on the excellent label Smile Recordings. The EP also includes two remixes from Mercury and Viadrina. Give it a spin below:

The Mekanism – Can’t Believe

Needwant get set to welcome you to the world of Parisian super duo, The Mekanism, with a debut EP that will make you fall in love with their spin on disco infused house music. Effortlessly smooth and divinely deep, they capture an advanced and modern sound that will blow you away. The EP features three original tracks plus a remix from Needwant favourite, Mario Basanov who continues to gain notoriety as both an individual artists and within his Mario & Vidis project. Title track ‘Can’t Believe’ oozes with a funky yet deep groove and rhythm. The empowering melody and warm keys captivate the mind, as the murky vocal takes us deep. Lithuanian producer Mario Basanov steps in for remix duty, with a housier, deeper dance floor spin on the original ‘Can’t Believe’. Grumbling stabs and rounded melodic keys drive this remix with impressive results. Next up ‘Missing Love’ is highly infectious with its forceful bass, fluid warm keys, steady claps and captivating, deep vocal, which will engulf the dance floor. ‘Your Shade’ is the third of the original tracks on offer from the talented duo. Using their own vocal for a French twist, they prove their artistic worth for this smooth deep cut.

Scuba - The Hope

We're still a month from the release of Scuba's highly anticipated Personality LP, but bits and pieces of Paul Rose's production work continue to trickle in, the latest of which is this video for his bombastic new single, "The Hope." Directors Amy Rose and Kat Brendel tapped a load of found footage for this piece, pairing it with a bit of choreographed interpretive dance that seems to loosely correlate with the track's lyrical content.
